The state government has decided to suspend the purchase of groundnuts at the support price starting from tomorrow i.e. October 21. The state government has taken this decision due to rains and still rain forecast in the state. The purchase process will now be conducted from Monday 26th October. In this regard, Agriculture Minister RC Faldu and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Jayesh Radadia said that the state government has taken another decision in the interest of farmers. Purchases of groundnuts at support prices across the state starting tomorrow have been postponed for a while due to rainy weather and humid weather. The purchase will be made from October 26. The state government will purchase groundnuts at a support price of Rs 1,055 per quintal. The purchase process will last for 90 days.
