The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has now decided to give 21 days Diwali vacation to teachers. Thus the Diwali vacation for teachers-school will be from 29th October to 18th November. When the final exam dates will be decided later.
Earlier, at the time of Corona's entry in Gujarat, i.e. on March 15, the state government had decided to close all schools, colleges and educational institutions in Gujarat for two weeks from March 16, i.e. till March 29. However the board examinations were kept intact. The school-vacation was then extended as Corona became uncontrollable. Thus, schools have been closed for more than 7 months.
