Supreme Court has decided CBSE NEET for medical admission in indian medical institutes on 29th April 2016 (next hearing on 03rd May 2016 5th May 2016 & 6th May 2016 , 9th May 2016 Now onwards to get admissiouons in medical courses in all over india you must qualify in NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test ). So GUJCET is not necessary for medical admission in gujarat but for paramedical admission in gujarat state you must qualify GUJCET 2016. In the previous decision in march 2016 given in march NEET was just applied for medical admission all over india but it was starting from next 2017-16 year.
Many Students were worried about preparation for GUJCET or NEET entrance examination for medical admissions in gujarat state. This decision may give relax for such candidates.
What is NEET?
The Medical Council of India with the approval of the Central Government amended the regulations on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and made provision for a Single Eligibility cum Entrance Examination, namely, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS Course in each academic year.
The Dental Council of India also amended the BDS Course Regulations 2007 and notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 31st May, 2012 that admission to BDS Course in each academic year shall be through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.
Accordingly, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in the academic session 2016-17 in 2 phases. First NEET examination will be held on 1st May(which is AIPMT exam and will be called as NEET for this year) & 2nd exam will be held on 24th July 2016.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing merit list to the Counselling Authorities.
So what is the final decision for admission in Gujarat? Is NEET will be taken instead of GUJCET for medical admission?
* To get admission in Medical Courses in Gujarat State you should appear in NEET UG 2016 (GUJCET is cancelled for medical admission)
* To get admission in Paramedical Courses admission in Gujarat State you must appear GUJCET 2016.
What are the exam date ?
In phase I , AIPMT exam will be taken as NEET UG Phase I on 1st May 2016. After decision on 9th May 2016, all students appeared in NEET UG Phase I may also appear in 2nd phase registration which will be start in the month on May 2016. Second phase NEET examination will be held on 24th July 2016.
In short, if you have registered in AIPMT(NEET UG phase I) exam which will be held on 1st may, you will also register again for NEET UG Phase II which will be starts in may 2016.
What are the GUJCET exam date for admission in Paramedical courses in Gujarat State ?
GUJCET 2016 will be held on 10th May 2016 for paramedical courses in Gujarat state.
When will result declared for NEET 2016 ?
The Result date is 17th August 2016 of NEET entrance exams which will be held on 1st May & 24th July 2016. If you forgot your roll number / registration number recover it here.

Yes, GSEB will declare official notification about NEET UG 2016 in soon. We will also publish here notification(GR) news.
When will 2nd Phase CBSE NEET registration open?
