What are Station Ticket Booking Agents (STBA) ???
These are agents appointed by Indian Railways to sell unreserved tickets (general class, platform tickets, season tickets) at certain stations — especially where staffing is limited. They use the Computerised Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) to issue tickets on behalf of the railways and get a commission on the tickets sold.
