16/10/2020 : Gujarat District Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has published the district wise voter list for the general elections.

Out of these 203 voters, the highest number of 18 voters are registered for the teachers' seats of schools other than North Basic Schools. Apart from this, 6 voters are registered for the seats of the academic staff of higher secondary schools.

This time, as the board has held only one seat in each of the nine different categories, there is a possibility of a tussle in the election. Voters from all the districts of the state will cast their votes. A total of 303 voters from all over the state will cast their votes. The Board is going to hold elections for the principals of schools other than North Basic Schools, teachers of North Basic Schools, principals of BEd colleges, non-academic staff of secondary and higher secondary schools, secondary teachers, higher secondary teachers, school administrators and parents.

The revised voter list has been posted on the board's website on October 15. The list can be viewed till October 15. If there is any amendment in the voter list name or date of birth or if there is any objection against the voter details, it has to be applied online.

09/11/2020 : School administrators accused of monopoly rule in the Board of Secondary Education

Stop people contesting backdoor elections in different categories

Representation to the Chief Minister by the National Federation of Self Supporting Schools, Gujarat

Several faces on the board ruled unilaterally

AHMEDABAD: Some people have been sitting in the Gujarat Secondary Education Board for the last few years. He consistently maintained his monopoly rule by being elected in different cadres. But recently the state government has reduced the number of stakeholders to 33 per cent by making necessary amendments to the board seats in the Legislative Assembly. The Federation of National Self Help Groups of Gujarat welcomes the work of the government. Along with this, instructions have been sent to the Chief Minister to take some steps so that the right guardian and the right administrator can be elected and go to the board and express their grievances. It said that the state government has the power to decide the functioning of school administrators and the board has to implement what the state education department decides. And the modus operandi of the board's upcoming elections remains to be determined. Then some suggestions have been made to take into consideration while deciding the working method of the school administrator's meeting.

National Federation of Self-Employed School Principals, President of Gujarat Dr. Jagdish Chavda has made some suggestions in his letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Accordingly, the academic and non-academic salaried employees of any grant-in-aid of the state government will not be able to contest the elections nor will the employees who have retired from the state government grant aided institution and run for government pension get elected. Also, a person or persons who do not have any kind of salary or honorarium in the educational institution and are involved in school management as well as a voter will be able to contest the election. Following these instructions will allow the right guardian or administrator to be elected to the board and present their grievances. So we have requested to make necessary orders regarding these instructions.

At the time of formation of Gujarat Secondary Education Board in 1972, the Board of Directors, Principal, Secondary Teacher, Higher Secondary Teacher, Clerk, Guardians, B.Ed. The principal of the college, the principal of Uttar Buniyadi, the teacher of Uttar Buniyadi as well as the representative of the government secondary school and various universities of Gujarat were represented in the board. General elections were held every three years. Their strength was determined keeping in view all the cadres associated with the board.

The Gujarat Board had the largest jumbo jet in the country

Compared to other states in India, Gujarat Secondary Education Board became a jumbo jet board with 62 representatives. In other states, the number is limited to 20 to 25 members.

What happened now

Recently in the Legislative Assembly, the state government has made firm and necessary amendments to reduce the number of stakeholders mentioned above to 33 per cent.

What was the modus operandi for deploying barriers?

A modus operandi has been on board for the past 30 years. When the first teacher was elected as the teacher's representative. After that he became Acharya and was elected to the seat of Acharya. As guardians the guardians were elected at the congregation meeting. Retired and contested the school administrator's seat. Thus the same faces took the board hostage.

Stop fighting the election at the back door

"We do not mind if a person from that cadre contests, wins and becomes a member in that cadre," the federation said in a statement. But this system of boarding a board election by entering the back door in different categories every election can be technically stopped.

20/01/2017 :

Voting will be held tomorrow for 6 seats of various cadres of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. By the Board of Secondary Education in which 2 seats of higher secondary teachers, 2 of secondary teachers, 2 of school principals, 3 of guardians, 2 of school administrators and 3 of administrative staff, 1 of BEd college principals, 1 of government secondary school teachers and 1 of higher basic school teachers. Included.

It may be mentioned that in the zone which includes Vadodara city and district, the candidate for the seat of secondary department teacher has already been declared uncontested winner. Will be held. City - Principals of 150 schools in the district and administrators of 150 schools will exercise their franchise. An estimated 150 voters are registered in the city-district.

The federation has not allotted a mandate to any teacher, principal or school administrator of a city-district school in any of the cadres at this time.

A polling booth has been set up at Sardar Vinay Vidyalaya in Karelibaug as well as Jalaram Vidyalaya in the same premises in the city for the polling which will be held from 8 am to 5 pm. Sardar Vinay Vidyalaya will have principals, school administrators and guardians as well as higher basic school principals at Jalaraam Vidyalaya, government, private and non-academic staff of grant-aided schools.

Elections are being held tomorrow after huge controversy and dissatisfaction over the mandate given by the federation in various cadres. The possibility that the mandate will have an impact on both the vote and its outcome cannot be ruled out.

For the first time in the history of the board, a female employee was nominated

The Board of Secondary Education was established in the year 19. Since then, elections for various cadres have been held every three years. In the 60-year history of the board, not a single female teacher or employee has been nominated. For the first time this year, Meenakshi Narendrakumar Agnihotri, an employee of The City High School in Raipur, Ahmedabad, has joined the ranks of non-academic administrative staff with self-preservation, protection of interests and resolving issues.

Today is a holiday in all the school's secondary and higher secondary departments

The Board of Secondary Education has declared a holiday in the secondary and higher secondary sections of all schools in the state, including Vadodara city and district, so that voters, teachers, principals and librarians, administrative staff cum clerks as well as fourth class employees can cast their votes in tomorrow's general elections. As a result, a holiday has been declared in the secondary and higher secondary schools of the city-district tomorrow. However, the lower primary and upper primary sections of the schools will continue to function as usual.
