Updates : Vadodara has the first general candidate and the second term has a woman candidate
Vadodara, on the other hand, has a general candidate first and a woman candidate in the second term. In Vadodara, the BJP has won 69 seats and the Congress only seven. Rajkot has the first OBC candidate and the second woman candidate. In Rajkot, the BJP has 68 seats and the Congress only four. Bhavnagar will have first woman and then OBC candidate. The BJP has won 44 seats and the Congress eight in the city. In Jamnagar, a woman candidate for the first year and a half and a scheduled caste candidate for the second year and a half will get a chance to become the mayor. The BJP has won 50 seats and the Congress 11 in the city. The process of mayoral selection will be started soon in six cities of the state. Hitendra Patel, Manoj Patel, Ketan Patel, Keur Rokadia and Parakram Singh Jadeja are in the running for the mayoral post.
